One of the reasons why we didn’t mention small tablets on this list is because even phones nowadays come with 6-inch screens. Hence, there is no point in buying a 7-inch tablet (also there aren’t any good ones). It will be like carrying the same device that you have in your pocket just for the sake of stylus.

I would recommend at least 9″ screen if you really want to buy a tablet for such tasks.

Where are the small tablets with sylus? A 7” tablet would be much better to really replace a notebook, for calendar, to-do, minutes from meetings…

Yes, the Apple iPad Pro is the best tablet for your requirements. It has best-in-class battery life, unrivaled performance, and an ability to support pencil for taking notes. I would have recommended Microsoft Surface, but Windows is still far behind when it comes to tablets.

Is apple ipad better than the other tablets just because it has the most battery life or we can go to Microsoft surface too for lower prices and better performance? I am doing masters in English and I have to read a lot from the Internet. I make my notes with the help of Internet. I have dell laptop but it’s battery is damaged, it only works when plugged in. I want to shift to something lighter and with more battery time. Can you help me?

Should probably double check the dragon 10. They are junk. Battery heats up. Second one I bought for my wife died in less than a month. Mine just died. Bought June 15, 2018. It’s January 21st, 2018. No way to review on Amazon. They are aware.

Hello Rose Smith,
The Fire HD 10 is one of the best tablets for media consumption, but when it comes to gaming I won’t recommend it because of the limited collection of apps & games in the Fire App Store. It should work fine if the game your dad plays is not graphics intensive and is available to download from the Store itself. Otherwise, not recommended.

I’m fairly new to graphics tablets but I want a tablet that isn’t too pricy but still decent. I prefer the pen to have an eraser, and I intend to use it to create an original logo initially but would like to also like casually draw with it.

Hello Jazmyn,
Well, an iPad is a great choice for drawing, but for Abode products, I won’t recommend you to go with it as they have narrowed down the features to basics. You won’t get that full host of tools that you get on the Windows or Mac.

Considering the fact that you want to carry the tablet in your purse, the Wacoms are really a great choice and their drawing tablets are truly unbeatable in terms of features and accessibility unless you don’t mind carrying a laptop with yourself every time. (Laptop/PC connection mandatory). Well, there are independent Wacoms available but they are bit pricey and I think their capabilities go way beyond your requirements as they are mostly used for Industrial works. So, not worth spending.

The best I could recommend to you for your requirements is Microsoft Surface Pro 4. It works independently of any device. Basically, a full-fledged laptop with the portability same as a tablet. You can install the full range of Adobe Products on it and get access to all the tools and features. The one with i5 processor should be fine for Photoshop & Illustrator. However, for 3D and CAD, I would recommend buying the one with i7 processor. You can draw directly on the screen with Surface Pen and it also has the ability to detect pressure sensitivity which will allow you to draw different widths of lines depending on the pressure you apply.
